HAWAI'I AMERICA250
Honoring America's History with Aloha
Hawai‘i’s America250 Celebration
On July 4, 2026, the United States will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence — a milestone known as America250. Though separated by ocean, Hawai‘i stands united with the nation in marking this historic occasion. Throughout 2025 and 2026, communities across the islands will reflect on our shared past, celebrate our diverse heritage, and honor our veterans and ancestors through events grounded in local culture and the Spirit of Aloha. The Hawai‘i America250 Commission, supported by our numerous Commemoration Partners, are leading efforts statewide to ensure our islands’ voices help shape this national commemoration. For details, visit our List of Programs Initiated/Supported by the Hawai‘i America250 Commission.

State & County Support
With support from the Governor and all four County Mayors, the State of Hawai‘i recognizes 2024 through 2027 as a time to
reflect, celebrate, and educate as we honor America’s 250th anniversary.

Charters of Freedom
The founding documents of the United States laid the groundwork for a new nation built on principles of liberty, self-governance, and the rule of law. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, they continue to inspire reflection, education, and civic engagement. Now is the perfect time to explore their meaning, share their impact, and take part in shaping the next chapter of our American story.
